Electoral Commission to launch mobile voting registration

Zimbabwe Electoral Commission to launch mobile voting registration as the country is geared up for the heading general watershed elections scheduled anytime this year although the principals in the inclusive government are at loggerheads about the date of elections.
In an interview the Zimbabwe electoral Commission chairperson Rita Makarau says ZEC is geared up for the massive voters registration by introducing the mobile registration through out the country.
"Very soon we are going to mount a mobile voting exercise which is going to take the registration personnel to where the people are countrywide," said ZEC chairperson
Rita Marau says the mobile registration will be taken to ward level, constituency and district level so that everyone eligible to vote will have access to exercise their constitutional right of casting their ballots in the upcoming plebiscite.
She says the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission will continue to update the voter registration "as you know voters registration is a continuous process, we keep on updating voters roll," she said.
Zimbabweans are saying that they are not quite aware of the voter registration and centres of the registration are few. Others are citing possible foul play by politician arguing that people how come that Zanu-PF is calling for election this coming June while the massive voters registration hasn't kicked off.
