Prophet Angel's sister to contest for Parly seat on MDC-T ticket

Controversial preacher and Spirit Embassy founder Uebert Angel Mudzanire's sister, Mercy Mudzanire-Nongera, is set to contest for a Parliamentary seat under PM Morgan Tsvangirai's MDC-T party.
Mudzanire-Nongera is among three candidates that will contest party primaries in Masvingo Central constituency after the incumbent MP Jeffreyson Chitando indicated he would contest the senatorial seat.
He would not seek re-election as Member of House of Assembly. It is understood that Chitando "chickened out" after feeling the heat, ostensibly afraid of "Miracle Votes" from Angel's sister.
But, Chitando dismissed the allegations, saying he wanted to move a "gear up politically".
Mudzanire-Nongera will battle it out with Hardlife Janyure and Allen Moyo in the race to represent the party in the parliamentary elections.
MDC-T insiders said Mudzanire-Nongera has been an active party member in Harare and was recently cleared to stand in the constituency.
