Two orphans from Harare's Waterfalls suburb have been left homeless after their uncle is alleged to have evicted them from their late parents' house.

According to 17 year old Rodney Moyo, who is the eldest of the two siblings, their parents Reason and Hildah Moyo died in 2007.

The teenager says after the death of their parents, his mother's brother threw them out of the house and sold all the property.

Though the house is registered in their late parents' names, the two siblings' uncle is alleged to have started renting out the property to tenants.

The tenants refused to speak to ZBC News on camera although they confirmed the teenager's story.

The teenager, who is now staying with his late mother's friend, says he is also living in fear of his life after threats were made on his life, a story which was also confirmed by neighbours who refused to speak on camera.

Cases of the protection of vulnerable children and orphaned minors have always made headlines with experts calling on government to ensure that these young children are protected.
