Ministry of Mines to benefit from WFDB

The Ministry of Mines and Mining Development says it will make use of the forthcoming World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) meeting scheduled for June in Istanbul, Turkey to develop beneficial partnerships with other players in the global diamond trade.
The WFDB meeting to be hosted by the Istanbul Gold and Diamond Exchange will take place from the 16th to the 18th of June and is set to among other things focus on ways of strengthening the global diamond trade.
Zimbabwe is set to participate at the forthcoming 9th annual meeting of the World Diamond Council (WDC) scheduled from the 5th to the 6th of May in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Mines and Mining Development Minister who is set to be one of the key speakers at the meeting said Zimbabwe's participation at the meeting is testimony to the important role that the country is set to play in the global diamond trade.
The invitation to participate at the world federation of diamond bourses meeting follows another invitation extended to the country by the WDC to attend its 9th annual meeting scheduled from the 5th to the 6th of May in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Zimbabwe has the potential to account for at least 25% of the global rough diamond supply.
