MDC-T appoints Senator Zvidzai as the new secretary for elections

The Tsvangirai led MDC on Tuesday announced the appointment of Senator Sessel Zvidzai as the new secretary for elections.
Senator Zvidzai replaces the late Seiso Moyo who died last year. The late Moyo was also the deputy minister of agriculture.
Senator Zvidzai is a founder member of the MDC-T and senior official in the party who is a member of the National Executive Council. He is also the deputy minister of Local Government and Rural and Urban Development and has held a similar post as secretary in the past. In 2002, he was elected as the Executive Mayor for Gweru.
Senator Zvidzai holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) and a Diploma in Industrial Management AIIM- UK (1998) among other qualifications.
