The trial of 29 MDC-T members who are facing murder charges has been postponed indefinitely at the High Court.
A decision was made on Tuesday to postpone the matter indefinitely before Justice Chinembiri Bhunu in order to give the defence lawyers time to file an application for discharge.
Five of the 29 accused are in remand prison after they were denied bail with the State claiming that they are a flight risk.
The five are; Last Maengahama, a national executive member, Harare councillor, Tungamirai Madzokere, Yvonne Musarurwa, a Youth Assembly gender representative, Rebecca Mafukeni, Harare provincial executive member and Simon Mapanzure, the district chairperson for Mufakose.
The MDC-T maintains that the arrest of its members is political persecution not prosecution by the partisan police and the judiciary who are acting on the instructions of Zanu PF.
