Tsvangirai's ally faces theft charges

The Supreme Court has ordered MDC-T House of Assembly Member for Nyanga North, Douglas Togarasei Mwonzora to file his heads of argument for his constitutional application in which he is facing charges of theft of trust property.
Mwonzora had earlier filed an application for referral to the Supreme Court in terms of Section 24 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe.
The allegations against Mwonzora arose in 2007 when he allegedly received 3,5 million Zimbabwean dollars and converted it to his personal use.
However, Mwonzora is arguing that there is a selective prosecution as the other partners in his law firm were never prosecuted on the alleged offence.
