Zanu-PF Harare province has launched its elections roadmap with the party saying its leadership is going to be directly involved in the mobilisation of supporters at grassroots.

Zanu-PF Harare province chairman, Ambassador Amos Midzi said as the party gears for elections, approaching supporters at grassroots will be a unified effort involving the whole leadership the from district to national level.

Ambassador Midzi said the first meeting held this Saturday is a pre-amble to a lot of work the party will be carrying out nationally.

"This is a time when all leaders will be involved in the mobilisation of supporters," said Ambassador Midzi.

Speaking at the same occasion, Politburo Member Charles Tavengwa called on the party's leadership that will be involved in the mobilisation exercise to speak with one voice.

Tavengwa said this year's elections will be historic as they capture the spirit of 1980.

"We all have to speak with one voice. This is a watershed election," Tavengwa said.

The Global Political Agreement principals recently tasked Justice and Legal Affairs Minister Patrick Chinamasa and his Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs counterpart, Advocate Eric Matinenga to start consulting various stakeholders as government comes up with an election roadmap.
