Mugabe meets Rev Jesse Jackson

Prominent United States black civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson yesterday met with Robert Mugabe 24 hours after meeting Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai in South Africa.
Speaking to journalists in Harare after a two-hour meeting with President Mugabe at his Munhumutapa Office Rev Jackson says sanctions are not benefiting anyone.
Rev Jackson said American businesses were eager to invest in Zimbabwe and singled out the mining sector.
On Monday Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai held talks with the United States civil rights campaigner Reverend Jesse Jackson on a visit to South Africa.
Jackson, a keen follower of Zimbabwe, has spoken in the past about his admiration for President Robert Mugabe, but has not hesitated to criticise the veteran leader.
In 2011, Jackson said he looked forward to "being a factor in helping to bring Mugabe and Tsvangirai together so that Zimbabwe's interests and growth can take place".
