Zanu-PF's Politburo to hold special indaba

The Zanu-PF Politburo is today expected to hold a special meeting to discuss rules and regulations to guide the party's primary elections ahead of the pending harmonised elections.

The rules are expected to stipulate who qualifies to represent the party in the local government, House of Assembly, Senate and Presidential elections.

It is the rules and regulations guiding primary elections and the date for the primary polls that is expected to dominate deliberations.

The Politburo, Zanu-PF's most powerful organ between congresses, is also expected to receive reports from the probe team that was sent to establish investigate problems bedevilling the party in Manicaland and Harare province.

Zanu-PF has embarked on a restructuring exercise of its structures that will see the team led by national chairperson Simon Khaya Moyo touring all the provinces to get the views of party structures.

Other members of the team are national political commissar Webster Shamu, Secretary for Security Sydney Sekeramayi and Secretary for Administration Didymus Mutasa.
