Madzore still in custody for insulting Mugabe

MDC-T Youth Assembly chairperson Solomon Madzore who was arrested on allegations of insulting President Mugabe during a rally held recently in Mushumbi, Mashonaland Central Province, is still in custody.
Chief police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba yesterday said Madzore was still assisting with investigations.
"Investigations are still in progress and he is likely to appear in court on Monday in Bindura," she said.
Detectives arrested Madzore on Thursday and first took him to Harare Central Police Station before taking him to Bindura Police Station for further investigations.
He is alleged to have insulted President Mugabe at a rally held in Mushumbe-Mbire last Saturday.
Madzore, is part of the 29 party activists accused of murdering police inspector Petros Mutedza at Glen View 3 shopping Centre in 2011.
He was released on US$500 bail together with Lovemore Taruvinga (alias Magaya) after spending over a year in prison.
