Legal officer bashed for snatching someone's husband

THERE was commotion at Whawha Prison compound when a legal officer with the Zimbabwe Prison Services was assaulted by three women who caught her pants down with one of the women's husband in her bedroom.
The three women, who are sisters, confiscated the adulterous ZPS Midlands and Masvingo regions legal officer, Ms Kudakwashe Mutsimbi's cellphone, which contained her naked pictures and those of her lover.
Mutsimbi went and filed an assault and theft report against the three sisters to the police at Lalapansi Police Station.
The three, Katherine (31), Pelagia (27) and Margaret Makokove (21) who all reside at Whawha Prison compound were yesterday arraigned before Gweru magistrate, Mr Tendai Madanhire.
They were remanded in custody to Tuesday.
For the State, Ms Chipo Matshe told the court that on 30 April this year, the complainant, Ms Mutsimbi, phoned one of the accused, Katherine and told her that her husband, Mr Tarisai Kuzonyei, was not coming home as he was driving her car.
Ms Mutsimbi owns a car but does not have a driver's licence and would ask Mr Kuzonyei, a driver with ZPS, to drive her personal car whenever he is off-duty, the court heard.
Ms Matshe said at around 11pm, Katherine who for long had been suspecting her husband to be cheating her with Ms Mutsimbi, then teamed up with her young sisters Pelagia and Margaret and went to confront Ms Mutsimbi at her quarters within Whawha Prison compound.
She said when the three arrived at Ms Mutsimbi's house they knocked and demanded to know about Mr Kuzonyei's whereabouts.
The court heard that Mr Kuzonyei who was naked in Ms Mutsimbi's bedroom then hid behind a door.
Ms Matshe said the three accused then took Ms Mutsimbi's mobile phone so that they could phone Mr Kuzonyei after she (Ms Mutsimbi) lied that she was not aware of his whereabouts.
She said while the three accused were scrolling through Ms Mutsimbi's phone, they stumbled upon Mr Kuzonye and Ms Mutsimbi's naked pictures.
The court heard that the three then started assaulting Ms Mutsimbi accusing her of snatching their husband.
It is the State's case that during the commotion, the three accused then saw Mr Kuzonyei hiding behind the bedroom door while naked.
The three accused later took away with them Ms Mutsimbi's mobile phone which they later surrendered to the police after showing them the two's naked pictures.
Ms Mutsimbi reported the assault and theft of a cellphone case to the police leading to the arrest of the three sisters.
