Four suspected robbers nabbed

Four people suspected to have been linked to a spate of robberies on passengers picked from some points in Harare have been arrested.
Police Spokesperson for Mashonaland West, Inspector Clemence Mabweazara said the four are suspected to have been behind numerous robbery cases that took place along the Harare-Chirundu and Harare-Bulawayo roads after unsuspecting passengers were offered transport from Exhibition Park, Greencroft and Westgate in Harare.
He said along the way the suspected robbers would divert routes before robbing their victims of valuables and sometimes left some of them naked.
Inspector Mabweazara said two vehicles, a Toyota Corolla and Toyota Altezza which the suspected robbers used have since been impounded.
He called on victims to come to Chinhoyi Central Police Station and identify their property among the goods that have been recovered by the police.
