The House of Assembly has unanimously passed the Constitution Amendment Bill Number 20 and it will now be taken to Senate for debate.
The Lower House was action packed as legislators from across the political divide passed Constitutional Bill which is expected to usher in a new constitution of Zimbabwe.
The proceedings were marked by a few amendments on the Bill which were a result of repetition of some sections and unclear wording.
On several occasions, the Speaker of Parliament had to bring the house into order as legislators turned the house into a photo shooting session.
At the end, however, all the 156 members of the House of Assembly present in the house unanimously voted in favour of the Bill.
The august house exploded into song and dance as the parliamentarians demonstrated a spirit of oneness after the passing of the Bill.
The Bill will now be taken to Senate for further debate as the country moves a step towards the holding of general elections expected this year
