A Chimanimani man is on the run after he allegedly raped two minors and infected one of them with a sexually transmitted disease.
The man, only identified as Samson of Hlabiso Village under Chief Ngorima, is being accused of raping the girls aged 11 and 12 in December last year.
Manicaland provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Luxson Chananda confirmed the case.
It is understood Samson lured the girls using some snacks. He allegedly told them that they were to eat the goodies in a bush where their parents would not see them.
The children complied. Samson, it is alleged, then asked the two to lie down after which he raped them.
He also allegedly threatened to assault them if they disclosed the matter to anyone.
The crime only came to light after the 12-year-old's stepmother learnt of the sexually transmitted disease
