THE Zanu PF Mashonaland Central provincial executive has set up teams to embark on a door to door campaign urging people to register as voters ahead of the forthcoming harmonised elections.
The decision was taken during the provincial executive meeting held in Bindura on Saturday to craft strategies to ensure the revolutionary party wins in the election.
"We have decided to set up teams that will include the youths, students, the women's league and war veterans that will go out to the villages to urge people to register. They will be paying particular attention to those people that have not registered for one reason or the other and see where the party can assist them to ensure that they register," Zanu PF Mashonaland Central provincial chairman Dickson Mafios said.
Mafios said the decision to set up the teams was in line with the decision taken by the party's leadership to mobilise voters.
Zanu-PF has launched a campaign dubbed "Your Vote is Your Voice, Your Voice is Your Vote" urging people to register and vote in the ongoing mobile voter registration.
Mafios said the provincial executive was also looking at ways to reclaim the three seats the party lost to the MDC-T in the 2008 harmonised elections.
