Inspector Peter Zhanero revealed that Forward Dzingai (26), of Dzingai Village under Chief Mandlangove, is in police custody. Dzingai is said to have stabbed Elphas Honguda, from the same village, in the back with a kitchen knife, after he found him stealing from his field.

Insp Zhanero said the incident occurred on April 30 this year at around 8am.

"We have arrested one Forward Dzingai in connection with the murder of Elphas Honguda, who died due to injuries sustained from being stabbed several times with a kitchen knife. The deceased is said to have been caught stealing water melons and maize cobs from the accused's field," he said.
