MDC leader Professor Welshman Ncube says the earliest date elections could be held this year was August 14 while the latest date was October 31.
Ncube, a constitutional law expert, said this while addressing party supporters in Chikomba West last Friday.
He ruled out the possibility of forming a coalition with Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai ahead of the forthcoming harmonised elections, arguing the two parties belonged to "different worlds".
Ncube, who is also Industry and Commerce minister, accused Tsvangirai of deviating from the founding principles of the party and betraying the masses.
