The state media on Monday said the Tsvangirai led MDC has been fingered in the violence that disturbed voter registration in Chegutu east over the weekend.
It is alleged that villagers started queuing as early as 5am at Neuso Clinic on Sunday but an MDC-T councillor, identified as Mr Lloyd Chakanetsa, who was in the company of Rodrick Pension Mutemasango started creating chaos to ensure that his supporters were served first.
It is also alleged that Chakanetsa's actions irked the villagers who had already been in the queue, resulting in a melee.
An eye witness, Miss Aida Mbiriso said the MDC-T officials started using abusive language, provoking villagers who wanted to register and go to their respective homes in peace.
Violence broke out but the MDC-T officials managed to flee the scene before the police arrived.
