Police have picked up two more people in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a Harare man who was allegedly forced to drink a pesticide by Star FM Dj Munyaradzi Milimo.
Taurai Janhi (34) and Mahommed Matare (31) were arrested by police after Dj Munya was picked up last week on Friday.
Police spokesperson Superintendent Andrew Phiri confirmed the development.
"Police have picked Taurai Janhi and Mahommed Matare including Munyaradzi Milimo. The three are assisting with investigations on the kidnapping and murder of Ortneal Magorimbo who went missing on May 13.
"Magorimbo reappeared at his residence on May 17 after he was kidnapped for four days," Supt Phiri said.
He said police were waiting for a postmortem report to guide the investigations. However, the woman involved, identified as Anna Hassen who reportedly worked at the Premier Optometry Services in Harare did not report for duty since the radio personality's arrest.
The source also said workmates first suspected that Magorimbo went to stay with Hassen who is reportedly pregnant.
Milimo's close family member alleged that Dj Munya had separated with Anna after they got married two years ago.
The relative said Anna confessed before the Milimo family that she was cheating with Magorimbo.
"She said it in front of the family that she was indeed dating Magorimbo and Munya told her it was over. Munya is the one who said it was over and we tried to reunite him with his wife but in vain," claimed the relative.
It is alleged that some time this month, DJ Munya suspected that his wife was having an affair with Magorimbo, a workmate.
Last week he reportedly confronted Magorimbo at his workplace and a few days later Magorimbo went missing before a police report was made.
On Saturday Magorimbo was dumped near his flat and he collapsed on the staircase and was taken to West End Hospital where he died.
