MDC-T has suspended its candidate confirmation exercise and primary elections in Manicaland and Masvingo.
MDC-T spokesman Mr Douglas Mwonzora last week confirmed that the polls, initially scheduled to be conducted yesterday, will now be held at a later date to facilitate investigations.
He would not, however, readily state whether suspects who tampered with the roll have been identified and the timeframe of the probe.
"As a party, we have an electoral college which comprises individuals who are eligible to vote in primary elections," he said.
"These individuals are drawn from the district executive, ward executive and branch structures. It seems some names are appearing on the electoral college voters' roll in some wards. This has prompted us to halt the process.
"When anomalies arise within the electoral college, and there are new names of certain individuals appearing on the electoral college voters' roll, then our organising secretary, Mr Nelson Chamisa, will carry out an investigation."
