MDC-T primary elections update

This weekend's round of MDC-T's internal confirmations and primaries for Mashonaland Central produced interesting results, with only two sitting MPs getting confirmations in their constituencies.

The two are Bednock Nyaude who was confirmed in Bindura South whilst Shepard Mushonga, the sitting MP for Mazowe Central was uncontested.

Tobias Tapera, a candidate for Rushinga was uncontested and will represent the constituency in the coming elections.

The following candidates won the primary elections in Mashonaland Central:

Gift Sambama- Mt Darwin South
Edwin Kadora- Mt Darwin east
Oliver Kapepa- Mt Darwin West
Jackson Dube- Muzarabani North
Faith Shamuyarira- Muzarabani South
Simbarashe Nongera- Mbire
Andrew Mupunga- Guruve North
Tineyi Tarise- Guruve South
George Gwarada- Mazowe North
Nhamo Mushonga- Mazowe West
Maxwell Mandimutsira- Mazowe South.

Primary elections in Masvingo and Manicaland will commence next week.
