Police are appealing to members of the public to come forward if they have information that may lead to the arrest of a woman who disappeared with a 20-day old baby in the capital.
The baby's mother was duped by a woman who pretended to be a relative.
Police Spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said the accused who is still at large misrepresented to the mother of the infant that she was a cousin of her husband.
The accused allegedly lured the couple by bringing presents for the baby and promised a job for the husband.
It is further understood that the accused took the mother and her child to town where she gave the mother four dollars to buy some food.
The mother is alleged to have left the baby in the custody of the accused who later disappeared with the baby.
