Road accident claims 8 ZNA members and a 3-year old girl

Eight members of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) and a 3-year old girl died on Monday. The vehicle in which the ZNA members and the young girl were travelling in collided with a Toyota Land Cruiser.
The accident occurred at the 28-kilometre peg near Nyabira shopping centre, along the Harare-Chirundu road on Monday.
It is alleged that the driver of the Land Cruiser tried to overtake a haulage truck and encroached onto the lane of the on-coming military vehicle.
The injured were taken to Parirenyatwa hospital with three of them in a critical condition.
