STAR FM DJ Munyaradzi Milimo, who is remanded in custody over the murder of Tinashe Magorimbo, is tomorrow expected to appear before High Court judge Justice Joseph Musakwa for his bail application.
DJ Munya's bail application papers were filed last Friday after his lawyer's bid to seek a consent order from the Attorney-General's Office hit a snag.
The lawyer, Lucky Mawuwa, confirmed the development, but hinted the matter might not be heard if the State fails to respond to the application by end of business today.
DJ Munya's co-accused Mohammed Matare appeared before Justice Musakwa last Friday, but the matter could not be heard as the State had not filed its response and the matter was rolled over to tomorrow.
The third accused, Taurai Jani, who is represented by Gerald Madzima, also filed his papers last Friday and his application is set to be heard tomorrow.
DJ Munya was three weeks ago thrown behind bars by a Harare magistrate after the State opposed bail.
According to the State case, Magorimbo met his fate after he allegedly failed to pay DJ Munya $5 000 "compensation" for having an illicit affair with his wife.
In February this year, Magorimbo allegedly gave DJ Munya a part payment of $1 000 through his alleged accomplices Janhi and Matare, but later became evasive allegedly prompting DJ Munya to enlist the services of Janhi and Matare to force him to pay.
