The second phase of the mobile voter registration and inspection began on Monday with people turning up in their numbers as the nation prepares for the harmonised elections scheduled for next month.
Registration officers in Harare told ZBC that they were satisfied with the process as people were bringing correct documents for the process while new national identity cards were being issued to those who required them.
For those who do not own residential properties, the registration officers were at hand to provide affidavits to enable them to register.
The second phase of the mobile voter registration and inspection exercise is aimed at ensuring that people who were formerly disenfranchised through the constitution and those who have attained the age of 18 are registered.
The exercise will also allow those who are registered to inspect the voters roll and ensure that their names and other details appear correctly on the roll so that they are not turned away on voting day.
