Tsvangirai tight-lipped on his SA visit

PRIME MINISTER Morgan Tsvangirai yesterday returned from his visit to South Africa where he had reportedly gone to lay groundwork for the coming special Sadc meeting on Zimbabwe, but remained tight-lipped on the purpose of his visit.
No official communication could be obtained from the PM's office on the purpose of the visit.
Despite Tsvangirai's return, the traditional Monday principals' meeting with President Robert Mugabe and Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara did not take place.
Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Jameson Timba confirmed the principals did not meet.
"There was no meeting yesterday," he said without elaborating.
Tsvangirai and Mugabe are haggling over dates and the roadmap to the harmonised elections.
