Support SMEs says Sithembiso Nyoni

The Minister of Small to Medium Enterprise and Co-operative Development, Sithembiso Nyoni has urged the corporate world to support SMEs in order to aid their growth.
The SMEs sector has been struggling to take off as it faces a number of challenges such as lack of funding and collateral to borrow from banks, high interest rates and limited working space.
Speaking ahead of a fundraising dinner set for Wednesday night in Harare, Minister Nyoni called upon the corporate world to support SMEs in a bid to promote employment creation, enhance the main stream supply chain and boost the fiscus through increased tax revenues.
The fundraising dinner is being spearheaded by the Harare Chamber of SMEs in a bid to equip offices which it acquired with government assistance as well as developing a website and financing SMEs operations.
