Soldiers disrupt MDC-T primaries, beating up members

Soldiers in Kariba yesterday invaded Nyamhunga Stadium - where MDC-T was holding its primary elections - started beating up members indiscriminately.
The primaries would now be held today.
MDC-T Provincial secretary-Greenwitch Ndanga confirmed the developments saying it was "an unfortunate incident as soldiers continue meddling into party politics against the body and spirit of GPA".
Ndanga said a white Mitsubishi came at a high speed towards their members at the stadium and some had to flee for dear life.
MDC-T claimed that the vehicle belongs to senior army officer who reside in Kariba.
The soldiers disembarked and started beating up MDC-T members, seriously injuring organising secretary of Ward 7, Daniel Joseph.
