AIR Zimbabwe has been readmitted to the International Air Travel Association's International Operational Safety Audit registry after complying with the aviation body's minimum standards.
The Minister of Transport, Communications and Infrastructural Development Cde Nicholas Goche confirmed the development in a statement.
This means Air Zimbabwe now meets IATA's operational safety, efficient and quality benchmarks observed by operators worldwide.
The national airline was de-registered from IATA's IOSA registry in September 2012 when Air Zimbabwe technically failed IOSA's test after temporarily stopping operations because of an industrial strike.
