The National Secretary General of the Teachers Union of Zimbabwe, Mr Ottoman Magaya has called on civil servants to vote for Zanu-PF in the forthcoming general elections.
Mr Magaya's calls follow remarks by the Head of State and Government and Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces, President Robert Mugabe that the inclusive government has failed civil servants.
Addressing thousands of people at the launch of revised National Youths Policy in Harare on Saturday, President Mugabe said that concerns of the civil servants will only be addressed after elections.
Mr Magaya, who is also the APEX Council treasurer, said there is need for Zimbabweans to go for elections in order to address concerns of civil servants.
He said their problems could only be solved through an election which will do away with the inclusive government.
Mr Magaya said divisions within the inclusive government have also affected negotiations by the APEX Council and the teachers unions to address challenges facing civil servants.
