Last weekend the MDC-T rounded up its primaries in provinces that had not completed the exercise, which started on 25 May.

In Zaka North, Simon Mupindu is the MDC-T parliamentary candidate.
Speaking on the outcome of the primary elections at Building Brigade in the city of Masvingo yesterday, the MDC-T chairperson Wilstaff Sitemere urged losing candidates to accept the outcome of the polls. He quickly pointed out the need for unity among party members.
"We know that the people have their expectations but the major objective of the process is to strengthen the party ahead of the approaching polls. We have to sit down and map the way forward as a team.
"I am happy with the process because we managed to display maturity and sanity despite the tension and excitement that gripped the party in the past few weeks. The MDC-T is a Party of Excellence and we are now looking ahead to the nomination process," said Sitemere.
