Police decline to clear MDC-T candidates

Police at Mutare Rural Police today refused to sign clearance papers for aspiring MDC-T candidates in the next local government elections claiming that they had no receipt books to account for the fees charged.

The reluctance by the police forced the MDC-T candidates to travel to Mutare Central Police at a cost in order to have their papers cleared ahead of filing their papers at the Nomination Court on Friday.
