Malaria has claimed 125 lives in Zimbabwe

According to reports 125 people have died from the second largest killer disease in Zimbabwe, malaria since the beginning of the peak season of the disease last month.
It said another 71 858 people had been treated for the disease since March.
A total of 9 549 cases were reported in the week ending April 03, of which 2 007 were children under the age of five.
The Cholera Control and Command Centre said 10 districts namely Mudzi, Kariba, Mutoko, Mutasa, Kadoma, Mutare city, Rushinga, Makonde, Chimanimani and Mutare rural had recorded outbreaks.
Some people seeking treatment in some of these districts said they were told the malaria drug coatermether was out of stock.
