A MARRIED woman who allegedly engaged in an adulterous relationship in search of a child last week brought her boyfriend to court for insulting her as their relationship turned sour. Judith Mutunhairi sought a peace order against Solomon Nyamukusa.
In her application, Mutunhairi indicated that Nyamukusa would not take no for an answer after she turned down his love proposal.
Mutunhairi told the court that Nyamukusa was disturbing her peace by shouting vulgar words at her doorstep in full view of neighbours every day.
In his response, Nyamukusa revealed that he used to frequent a Glenara brothel with Mutunhairi as their love nest.
"This woman is only trying to save her face and is protecting her marriage.
"The truth is that I slept with this woman several times," Nyamukusa told the court.
"She never told me that she is married, but I was aware that she was attempting to fall pregnant.
"She desperately needed a baby and she wanted me to help her.
"Since we were in a love relationship I saw no problem with it."
Solomon Nyamukusa also told the court that he was not aware that his lover's marriage was not blessed with a child and she needed to fall pregnant so that she could take the baby to her husband.
He narrated how he used to take Mutunhairi from Mufakose to their favourite place in Glenara where they would become intimate.
"I only proposed once to this woman and I was accepted.
"Your Worship, this woman has an operation stitched below her navel.
"I saw this when we were being intimate.
"If she is saying I am lying how did I come to know of this?" he said.
Nyamukusa, however, admitted to insulting his lover after failing to stomach that she was indeed married.
"I paid an admission of guilt fine at Marimba police station after I insulted her for being too loose.
"I never talked to her again but was shocked to see summons at my doorstep," he said.
Responding to Nyamukusa, Mutunhairi denied being in a love relationship with him.
She insisted that he obtained information about her body from his relative, who is also her friend.
After hearing arguments from both parties, magistrate Mr Milton Serima ordered Nyamukusa to stop threatening or insulting Mutunhairi.
