Chombo accuses NGOs of supporting MDC-T

Zanu-PF Parliamentary candidate for Zvimba North Ignatius Chombo yesterday turned the burial of slain party activist Felix Murombedzi into a campaign platform accusing civic society groups of openly campaigning for the MDC-T.

Murombedzi was allegedly abducted from his Banket home more than a week ago before his body was found floating in Mazvikadei Dam four days later.

Addressing about 300 mourners in Banket, Chombo described the death of Murombedzi as "tragic" and urged the villagers to vote resoundingly for Zanu-PF in honour of the late party official
