Police have dismissed as unfounded claims by MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai that Zanu-PF planned to register over 50 000 police officers as special voters before the election date.
The law enforcement agents were responding to allegations by Tsvangirai during a meeting with the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission officials on Monday.
In a statement yesterday, chief police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said the force had registered 50 000 police officers as special voters since they would be deployed in various polling stations away from their workstations.
