Gweru-Mvuma road accident claims 8

Eight people were killed and five others seriously injured after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a tree and overturned at the 65km peg along the Gweru-Mvuma Road Saturday.
Five died on the spot and the remainder at Gweru Provincial Hospital where the injured are still admitted.
Midlands police spokesperson - Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko - said the driver of the Toyota Granvia lost control after a rear tyre burst.
Inspector Mahoko said the vehicle hit a tree and landed on its roof.
The police spokesperson said preliminary investigations show the driver of the vehicle, which was heading to Harare from Bulawayo, was speeding.
