Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) president George Nkiwane has taken a swipe at some MDC-T leaders accusing them of having an agenda against workers.

Speaking on the sidelines of a ZCTU central region education and workplace shop stewardship one-week training workshop that ended on Friday, Nkiwane said some leaders of the party behaved as if "they do not know the reason why MDC was formed".

He said although the ZCTU will continue supporting MDC-T, it would not pay a blind eye to the party's shortcomings.

"There are some in the MDC who are pushing for an agenda that is not pro-worker.

"They push for policies that further worsen the plight of workers. We will continue criticising them until they start addressing workers' interests," Nkiwane said without referring to specific names.
"Such leaders in MDC-T behave as if they do not know the reason why MDC-T was formed.

"The party was formed for a specific agenda by workers and it has not yet fulfilled that agenda. So we will continue criticising those who go astray," he added.
