The family of the late former army commander Solomon Mujuru says it will soon conduct traditional rituals to establish the cause of his death.

Mujuru's elder brother, Joel, said the family was not resting and had resorted to traditional ways to get to the bottom of what led to the decorated army commander's death.

He also said the family plans to fight for the estate left behind by Vice-President Joice Mujuru's husband amid reports that the business empire was on the verge of collapse.

He confirmed that several children allegedly sired by the late general, who died in a mysterious inferno in August 2011 at his Beatrice farm, had come forward with birth certificates signed by Mujuru.

He, however, refused to disclose how many children had come forward.
