MDC-T leader, Morgan Tsvangirai had to rescue 40 of his supporters who were rounded up and locked up by the police in Guruve ahead of his visit.
Tsvangirai who is on a visit to Mashonaland Central, a Zanu-PF stronghold, had to go to the police station to negotiate their release. He said this was part of fear and intimidation tactics by Zanu-PF.
"I can understand the fear gripping people here. In Guruve, I had to go to the police station to free our supporters. They were in a jubilant mood, singing and chanting our slogans when police just rounded them. Let's vote for more freedoms," he said.
