A woman was on Friday brought to court for sleeping with a man in the presence of his wife in their matrimonial bedroom.
Erica Farirai pleaded with magistrate Ms Tatenda Manhanzva to rescue her from the disrespect she was suffering from her husband's girlfriend Anastancia Tete.
Farirai told the court that besides the lack of respect Tete also insults her and threatens violence.
"I stay in the rural areas and when I visit my husband at the farm where he works occasionally, I see this woman in my house and she becomes violent towards me.
"When I confronted my husband he said she is just one of his girlfriends.
"Now she is shamelessly disrespecting me by having sex with my husband on my bed in my presence," she said.
Farirai added that Tete threatened to use juju on her and damaged Farirai's property while fighting with the husband.
In her counter response Tete told the court that she was not a girlfriend but the second wife.
"I am married to this man and we had twins together unfortunately they died.
"Farirai stays in the rural areas but when she comes she just opens the bedroom door without knocking and most of the time we will be intimate," she said.
Tete left the gallery in stitches when she remorsefully said that she politely asks for the husband from Farirai whenever she wanted conjugal rights.
"I have so much respect for her because she is the first wife and I never insulted her," she said.
Responding to Tete's allegations Farirai told the court that although she did not report to the police, she said she alerted the farm manager of the abuse.
Ms Manhanzva postponed the matter to today to allow Farirai to bring the farm manager as a witness to the matter
