Mugabe leaves the country

President Robert Mugabe has left Harare for Maseru, Lesotho where he will attend the 50th birthday of King Letsie III.
King Letsie III succeeded his father, Moshoeshoe II who was forced into exile in 1990.
King Moshoeshoe II was briefly restored in 1995 but he soon died in a car crash in early 1996 and Lestie became king.
As a constitutional monarch, King Letsie's duties are ceremonial.
The Kingdom of Lesotho is made up of mostly highlands where many villages can only be reached on foot, horseback, or using light aircraft.
President Mugabe is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simbarashe Mumbengegwi.
The President was seen off at the Harare International Airport by several government ministers and the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda.
