Special votes ballots to be opened in public this Friday

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) says the ballot boxes of the recently held special vote will be opened in public this Friday in Harare.
The electoral body says the opening of the boxes will be in the presence of all political parties, observers and polling agents who have been part of the process.
The special vote was held over two days between July 14 and 15.
ZEC announced that a number of the uniformed forces and electoral officers of the commission were unable to cast votes because ballot papers had not reached the voting centres on time.
ZEC has however committed to ensure that those who did not vote will do so on July 31 when the whole nation goes to cast their ballots.
The government created the special voting platform to afford those who would be deployed on formal voting day to cast their votes before they leave to their respective centres of deployment.
