ZANU-PF will review salaries and working conditions of civil servants once it wins the 31 July harmonised elections as expected, the National Chairman, Simon Khaya Moyo, said yesterday.

Civil servants have downed tools several times demanding a review of salaries and conditions of service.

Addressing party rallies in Nyele, Ndiweni and Matjinge areas in Bulilima District, Khaya Moyo said Zanu-PF was concerned about the poor salaries for Government workers.

"We are committed to improving the salaries and conditions of service for civil servants. We have over the past four years made several attempts to address this problem but we have failed just because the ministry concerned is under MDC-T leadership," he said.

He said MDC formations failed to deliver despite the fact that they were allocated key government ministries.

"The MDC parties have been occupying pivotal Ministries such as Education, Finance, Energy and Industry.

"These Ministries are the backbone of the nation's development," he said.

Moyo said each time Government wanted to review salaries for civil servants, they were told by Finance Minister Tendai Biti that there was no money.

"If money cannot be used to address challenges such as poor salaries what is it then used for?" he asked.
