Observers from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) on Friday described Zimbabwe's elections as "free and peaceful".

Dismissing Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai that they should be nullified.

"We would like to congratulate the people of Zimbabwe for holding a free and peaceful election," the observer mission said in a written statement.

"Too early to say it was fair. We don't want to jump to conclusions."
