War vets leader Joseph Chinotimba who won the right to represent Zanu-PF in Buhera South on Friday said Tsvangirai lost because he did not listen to the people.
In an interview with Star FM, Chinotimba said he was "as happy as a traditional healer who has prescribed medicine for a king."
"I have been in the race but I think God's time was not on, but I later realised that God wanted me to represent the people in the vilage," said Chinotimba.
The War vets leader said the MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai was told by the people but did not listen.
He also said "we were happy when we found out that 'mwana wekwedu aita prime minister' (But) he did not maintain the Murambinda-Birchenough road. What he did was getting married and making a spacious garden for his mother. "
"Thanks to the people for realising that it is not Mugabe who made the supermarket empty. lets be proud of our own, from now on let us print t-shirts prescribed Mugabe and our local names and do away with Obama and the British," Chinotimba said.
