Mugabe declared winner of Zimbabwe presidential election

ZEC Chairperson Rita Makarau has declared Zanu-PF leader Robert Mugabe (89) as duly elected President of Zimbabwe with effect from today.
Mugabe won 61% votes whilst Morgan Tsvangirai got 33.94% votes.
Zanu-PF also won a two-thirds majority.
The July 31 presidential election saw an extra 400 000 more participate in voting than during the Referendum.
Mugabe will be sworn in 9 days time.
RESULTS:
Robert Gabriel Mugabe - 2 110 434 (61.09%)
Morgan Richard Tsvangirai - 1 172 349 (33.94%)
Welshman Ncube - 92 637
Meanwhile Tsvangirai on Saturday said his party would challenge the result of fiercely disputed elections in the courts.
Tsvangirai said "there is national mourning in the country."
