UZ congratulates Mugabe

The University of Zimbabwe has congratulated President Robert Mugabe for his landslide victory during the just-ended national harmonised elections.

In a statement, vice chancellor Professor Levi Nyagura said the Zimbabweans have spoken adding that the institution joins them in celebrating the victory of a distinguished pan-Africanist, educationist, lawyer and economist and cherishes his sterling efforts to improve higher education in the country.

Professor Nyagura said the country can now increase the momentum of indigenisation of the economy and empowerment of all Zimbabweans.
