Former Anglican Church of Zimbabwe bishop, Nolbert Kunonga has congratulated President Robert Mugabe on his re-election into office.
Bishop Kunonga said President Mugabe's victory in the harmonised elections cements the confidence that Zimbabweans have in his leadership.
He called on all Zimbabweans to rally behind Mugabe who he said won the election on account of his visionary indigenisation and economic empowerment drive.
Bishop Kunonga also criticised some churches that he said allow themselves to be used by some people with imperialistic agendas.
Congratulatory messages to President Mugabe on his victory have been coming in from various local, regional and international leaders.
President Mugabe resoundingly won the harmonised elections held on July 31 by 61 percent, while his Zanu PF party won more than two thirds majority in Parliament.
